Well kids here we are again with another coaching letdown. The coach, (Rich Rodriguez) alot of people thought would never leave West Virginia is. Why people Ask? Obviously it is for the money, not the passion for the game and/or for the team he said he would never leave. He did something similar to this in the past and WVU's athletic director and boosters got him a substantial raise in his contract and it wasn't enough! Now I know WVU isn't as high profile as Michigan when it comes to football but my opinion is they would be soon, really soon! So thanks for the high hopes, and the letdown Mr. Rodriguez and hope that we can find a coach that our players will accept and learn under, such as yourself. Alot of young athletes came and were coming to WVU because of your coaching skills and your name.
Of you people that read this and know me know that I was not a big WVU fan till 3 years ago(always faithful to UK), so I do sympathize with all the hardcore fans and players somewhat. I am a hardcore University of Kentucky football, and basketball fan and have been through this several times and wish something could be done. We could always hope that he does what Billy Donavon done at Florida, but I don't think it will happen. I wonder how this will affect the upcoming Bowl Game.
I wonder if the can incorporate some kind of punishment for coaches that elect to leave before a contract has expired, not fired! I think there ought to be something done similar to proposition 48, where they have to not coach one year after leaving a team during the middle of a contract. I feel sorry for the players and students at WVU and will remain a WVU fan, and even though I never really liked Michigan, I hope Ohio State kicks there a** every year for eternity! My oldest son Brandon is an Ohio State fan, so I know he will be happy that at least during that one game a year I will cheering for Ohio State to win.
So to all you WVU people I wish you luck and I hope you get a better coach than the one you had! You deserve it!
